The e-Loop Mini EL00M-K Wireless Loop Detector is a compact vehicle detection system designed to automatically trigger compatible gates and access-control systems without the need for a traditional wired inductive loop. Instead of cutting a large loop into the driveway and running cable back to the gate controller, the e-Loop Mini mounts directly to the driveway surface and communicates wirelessly with a compatible e-Trans receiver.

Using magnetic vehicle detection technology, the e-Loop Mini senses changes in the surrounding magnetic field as a vehicle approaches or passes over the detector. Once a vehicle is detected, a wireless signal is sent to the receiver, which can then trigger the gate to open automatically. This makes it particularly well suited to residential driveways, automatic exit gates and other locations where convenient hands-free vehicle access is required.

One of the main advantages of the e-Loop Mini is its simple installation. Because there is no need to cut a conventional induction loop into the driveway or run detection wiring underground, installation is quicker, cleaner and less disruptive. The detector is mounted to a suitable flat surface, paired with the compatible receiver and calibrated for the installation.

The e-Loop Mini is manufactured from high-impact plastic to provide a strong and durable housing suitable for outdoor driveway installations. Despite its compact design, the unit has a static load limit of up to 10 tonnes, allowing it to withstand the weight of vehicles passing over it while protecting the internal detection components.

The compact 120x120x31mm housing provides a discreet solution while still being designed to withstand vehicle traffic. Battery-powered operation also removes the need to run a dedicated power cable to the detector, making it ideal for existing driveways where additional excavation or concrete cutting is undesirable.

The e-Loop Mini uses secure wireless communication between the detector and receiver and is designed to provide reliable vehicle detection for everyday residential gate automation. Its small footprint and simple installation make it an excellent alternative to traditional underground vehicle loops.

Why Use an e-Loop Mini?

Traditional inductive vehicle loops generally require cutting into concrete or asphalt, installing loop wire and running cabling back to the gate control system. The e-Loop Mini provides a far simpler wireless alternative, making it particularly useful when adding automatic vehicle detection to an existing driveway.

For automatic exit applications, the e-Loop Mini allows a vehicle to approach the gate and trigger it to open without requiring the driver to use a remote, keypad or intercom. This provides a convenient and practical access solution while avoiding the additional work associated with a conventional wired loop.

How It Works

The e-Loop Mini is installed on the driveway in the area where vehicles are to be detected. Once calibrated, the sensor monitors the surrounding magnetic field. When a vehicle enters the detection zone, the metal mass of the vehicle causes a change in the magnetic field, allowing the e-Loop Mini to recognise its presence.

The detector then sends a wireless signal to the paired e-Trans receiver. The receiver is connected to the gate control board and provides the trigger required to operate the gate, allowing vehicles to exit the property automatically without requiring manual access control.
