The e-Loop EL00C-K is a commercial-grade wireless vehicle detection kit designed to automatically trigger compatible gates and access-control systems without the need for a traditional wired inductive loop. The kit uses magnetic field detection to sense approaching vehicles and wirelessly communicates with the included e-Trans 50 single-channel transceiver, providing a clean and practical solution for automatic exit applications. 

Designed for commercial and higher-use environments, the EL00C-K mounts directly to the driveway surface using suitable concrete fixings. This eliminates the need to cut large loop channels into concrete or asphalt or run detection wiring beneath the driveway, making installation faster, cleaner and far less disruptive than a conventional induction loop system.

The commercial e-Loop uses a 3-axis magnetometer to detect changes in the surrounding magnetic field as a vehicle enters the detection area. Once a vehicle is detected, the e-Loop sends a wireless signal to the e-Trans 50 receiver, which then provides a relay output to the connected gate control board and triggers the gate to open. The detector is manufactured from high-impact plastic and has a static load limit of up to 10 tonnes, making it suitable for demanding commercial driveway environments. Its compact housing measures approximately 220mm in diameter and 28mm high, carries an IP68 protection rating, and is designed to withstand regular vehicle traffic and outdoor exposure. 

The larger 220mm diameter x 28mm high housing provides a robust commercial-grade solution while still maintaining a low-profile design for driveway installations. Battery-powered operation removes the need to run a dedicated power cable to the detector, making the EL00C-K ideal for existing commercial driveways where additional excavation, trenching or concrete cutting is undesirable.

The EL00C-K is designed specifically for Exit Mode, making it ideal for automatic gate exits where a vehicle approaching from inside the property needs to trigger the gate without the driver using a remote, keypad or intercom. For applications requiring the system to detect and hold for a stationary vehicle, the separate radar-equipped Presence Mode version should be used instead. 

Why Use an e-Loop?

Traditional inductive vehicle loops generally require cutting into concrete or asphalt, installing loop wire and running cabling back to the gate control system. The e-Loop provides a much simpler wireless alternative, reducing the amount of civil work required and making it particularly useful when retrofitting vehicle detection to an existing driveway or automatic gate.

The wireless design can also reduce the potential maintenance issues associated with damaged underground loop wiring, while still providing reliable automatic vehicle detection for compatible gate automation systems.

How It Works

The e-Loop Commercial is mounted to the driveway in the required vehicle detection area. Once calibrated, the detector continuously monitors the surrounding magnetic field. When a vehicle enters the detection zone, the change in magnetic field is detected and a wireless signal is transmitted to the e-Trans 50 receiver.

The e-Trans 50 is connected to the gate control board and provides the required relay signal to the gate’s open input. In a typical exit installation, this allows vehicles leaving the property to automatically trigger the gate without requiring manual access control.
