The Deimos Ultra BT B400 is designed to automate sliding gates with a maximum weight of 400kg. When selecting a gate motor, gate weight should not be considered on its own. The condition of the track and wheels, gate length, slope, wind loading, frequency of use and how freely the gate travels can all affect motor performance. The gate should always move smoothly and freely by hand before automation is installed.

Wind Loads & Weight

The 400kg rating is a maximum gate-weight specification and does not automatically mean every 400kg gate is suitable for this operator. Long gates, gates exposed to high wind loads, gates travelling uphill, poorly maintained gates or gates that require excessive force to move may require a larger operator. Always consider the complete gate system and site conditions when selecting the correct motor.
